Seven search and exploration concessions granted

As of April 1st, 2009 DPV Service was granted 7 concessions for oil & gas search and exploration in the regions of Białobrzegi-Rusinów, Korczmin, Lipsko, Radom and Opole Lubelskie, as well as blocks 233 and 253. The supposed volume of works on the territory of about 3900 sq. km. includes reprocessing and reinterpretation of old seismic profiles, production of new 2D seismic profiles -- nearly 2500 sq. km., and 3D profiles - 300 sq. km. After processing of acquired results, drilling of up to 5 exploration wells is planned. Beside these, use of new exploration methods such as gravimetric and geochemical measurements, electric-magnetic and diffraction surveys is foreseen alongside the traditional methods.
